  • Two cups of chicken or pork pieces.
  • One medium to large garlic
  • 300ml of water, sesame oil
  • Three medium carrots, shallots and spring onion

  • soy sauce, ginger, five spice, Worcestershire sauce
  • Noodles – preferably a short smallish egg noodle shape
  • 300ml water, Two medium-sized celery stalks, and sweetcorn

Instructions to prepare

You need precooked your chicken or pork to make your preparation fast, or you can cook you from scratch. Sliced up your chicken or pork into small sized pieces. It’s always good to use chicken breast while you are preparing chicken noodle soup, but it’s up to you.

Chop up your carrots and garlic into small pieces. Mix your chicken stock, carrots, ginger, garlic, soy sauce, chili powder, five spice, Worcestershire sauce, and 300ml water in a large saucepan or a stockpot and allow them to the boil, after which you should reduce the heat and also simmer for about five minutes. Then taste the stock as well as add soy sauce or sugar to make it saltier or sweeter according to your preference.
